Heather A. Glazer

Heather A. Glazer

Heather Glazer's career in the Appellate Department at Fieger, Fieger, Kenney, Johnson & Giroux began in January, 2005 after nearly ten years as a litigator in the insurance defense industry.

Glazer earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1991, with a triple major in pre-med, english and psychology. She graduated in the top 10 of her class from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1996, where she was a Law Review Note & Comment Editor for two years and served a judicial externship with United States District Court Judge Lawrence Zatkoff. During her law school career, Glazer earned a number of academic awards and honors, including: Research, Writing and Advocacy Book Award; Discovery and Trial Prep Book Award; Elizabeth A. Oehmke Memorial Award; and National Resources Award for Academic Excellence.

Following graduation, Glazer worked as a Pre-Hearing Attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Subsequently, she worked for the law firms of Draugelis & Ashton as well as Patrick, Johnson & Mott in the areas of commercial insurance, automobile negligence, products liability subrogation, first-party insurance coverage disputes, and personal injury litigation.

Completely disheartened by her success in defeating personal injury actions and precluding first-party claims for insurance benefits, Glazer sought a career where she could utilize her passion for writing and seek justice for the "little people." FFKJG has provided that opportunity; she now enjoys her success in sustaining claims and jury verdicts against police officers, municipalities, doctors and hospitals for the horrific injuries inflicted upon the firm's clients.
