Rube Weiss …. the late, great actor-announcer, who began on Detroit radio in 1938 and TV in 1947, and MY DAD!

Where is your favorite place to be?

My shack in the woods in Charlevoix.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Perfect happiness? Not possible … but having a healthy and loving family as I do, is close enough for me!

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Abraham Lincoln … another plain speaking trial warrior.

Which living person do you most admire?

I admire my mom … who at 88 still exudes intellect, strength, humor and unconditional love!

Which trait in yourself do you most deplore?

I deplore procrastination in myself and one day, I’ll get around to beating it …

What trait do you most deplore in others?

I deplore bigotry, in whomever it resides.

What’s your greatest extravagance?

Buying more books than I have time to read …

What is your favorite journey?

My spiritual journey.

On what occasion do you lie?

About small things, to spare another’s wounded feelings …

Which living person do you most dislike?

Assad of Syria … a murderous thug.

What is your greatest regret?

No regrets … waste of valuable time.

When and where were you the happiest?

At the moment of birth of my four amazing daughters!

Which talent would you most like to have?

An on key singing voice.

What is your current state of mind?

Currently, my state of mind is hopeful.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would be more patient.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Greatest achievement … my daughters and the kind of dad I’ve been for 31 years!

My late father’s watch.

Where I live today.
