WHY CHOOSE FIEGER LAW?

RECORD-SETTING VERDICTS

All too often, medical malpractice firms accept fast, lowball settlements so they can move on to the next case. At Fieger Law, we fight to obtain full compensation for our clients' damages resulting from medical mistakes and negligence.

NO FEES UNLESS WE WIN

Between medical bills and lost wages, you’re facing enough expenses already. The last thing you need is an expensive bill or invoice from a lawyer. With Fieger Law on your side, you’ll never pay us a dime unless we get money for you.

HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WON FOR OUR CLIENTS

Medical malpractice claims require in-depth investigations and serious negotiation skills. We don’t back down from these challenges, and we fight with everything we have to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.

A: Medical malpractice occurs when a doctor, nurse, hospital, or other healthcare provider fails to meet the accepted standard of care, and that negligence causes harm to a patient. Examples include misdiagnosis, surgical errors, medication mistakes, and birth injuries.

A: In Michigan, you generally have two years from the date of the malpractice to file a claim—or six months from the time you discovered (or reasonably should have discovered) the injury—whichever is later. However, there are exceptions and strict rules. That’s why it’s important to speak with an experienced malpractice lawyer as soon as possible.

A: Victims of medical malpractice are often entitled to recover economic damages (medical bills, lost income, long-term care costs) and non-economic damages (pain and suffering, emotional distress). In cases of extreme misconduct by healthcare providers, punitive damages may also apply.

A: Yes. Michigan law requires testimony from qualified medical experts to show that your healthcare provider deviated from the standard of care. Fieger Law collaborates with leading medical professionals nationwide to construct robust cases on behalf of our clients.

A: There are no upfront costs. Fieger Law operates on a contingency fee basis, which means we only receive payment if we secure compensation for you. Your consultation is free, and we cover the costs of investigating and preparing your case.

Diagnostic Errors

Errors such as misreading lab tests, imaging mishaps, or poor communication between medical professionals can delay life-saving treatment and inflict lasting harm.

We are among the nation's leading birth injury law firms. Our attorneys have secured record-setting verdicts for victims and their families affected by cerebral palsy, HIE, brachial plexus injuries, and other birth traumas.

When a doctor incorrectly diagnoses or fails to recognize a serious medical condition, the consequences can be devastating. We help victims seek justice after delayed or wrong diagnoses that lead to worsened health outcomes.

From anesthesia mistakes and tools left inside the body to operating on the wrong patient or body part, surgical negligence can cause catastrophic injury. We hold those responsible accountable and secure the compensation families deserve.

Whether it’s the wrong drug, incorrect dosage, or faulty administration, medication mistakes are a serious and too-common form of malpractice. We represent those harmed by these preventable errors.

Patients trust hospitals to heal them—not expose them to infections. Many HAIs are preventable and can result from negligent sanitation, protocol failures, or equipment contamination.

When a brain injury is caused by a missed diagnosis or delay in treatment, experience matters. Fieger Law’s team has helped countless TBI victims recover the compensation needed for rehabilitation and long-term care.
