About Cullen

Born and raised in Southeastern Michigan, Cullen Bryant McKinney obtained his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, after which he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law.

For decades, Cullen defended health care professionals in complex litigation, regulatory matters, and disciplinary actions—experience that gave him a deep understanding of medical systems, clinical decision-making, and the real-world consequences for patients and families. After witnessing the impacts firsthand, he thoughtfully transformed his practice. Today, he uses his extensive knowledge to fight for patients and families who have been harmed by medical negligence.

Cullen has tried more than 70 medical malpractice cases in state and federal courts, with a greater than 95% success rate. Specializing in all areas of medical malpractice law, he has also negotiated nearly a thousand medical negligence claims.

With over 30 years of experience in health care litigation, Cullen brings exceptional insight and strategic depth to his role as a Senior Trial Counsel at Fieger Law. Throughout his career, he has earned recognition from Super Lawyers, Leading Lawyers, Lawyers of Distinction, Hour Magazine, and DBusiness, distinguishing him as one of the region’s most respected medical malpractice attorneys.

At Fieger Law, Cullen is driven by a clear belief: patients deserve truth, accountability, and a fearless advocate standing beside them. His rare background—knowing how hospitals, insurers, and medical providers think and operate—gives his clients a powerful advantage in pursuing justice. His empathy for his clients provides them with comfort, as well as confidence that they have the voice, representation, and results they deserve.
