Helen Joyner was a partner and member of the law firm of Sommers, Schwartz, Silver & Schwartz, as a personal injury/medical malpractice trial attorney for 20 years before coming to Fieger Law.

Joyner was appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to their Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions in 2005, where she is responsible for drafting all of the civil jury instructions read to juries in all civil jury trials across the State of Michigan.

Joyner is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She is a member of the "Million Dollar Advocates Forum" and has received a Martindale-Hubbell "AV Peer Review Rating" which reflects the confidential opinions of the bar and judiciary that she has the highest level of legal ability and professional ethics. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Chapter of the American Constitution Society. Joyner was voted to the "Top 50 Women Lawyers in Michigan" as published in the "Detroit News Super Lawyer Section"; she continues to be listed in the "Michigan Super Lawyer Edition". She has recently been bestowed the honor of being named a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Joyner is a board certified scuba diver and certified sailor.
